Megan Woeppel
Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Brass, Woodwind,
Songwriting, and Music Production
Growing up in the family music store, I learned a love for music at an early age. I started piano at age 3, and just kept adding instruments from there. I majored in music at MidAmerica Nazarene University, where I was on scholarship for Piano, Trumpet and French Horn. I have taught General Music, Band, and Orchestra in various Los Angeles area private and charter schools, as well as teaching music classes for home-school co-op groups in the Hollywood area. I've been teaching private lessons for more than 17 years, taking students from ages 4-adult, from beginner to advanced skill levels. I have experience with non-traditional learners (ASD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities), as well as young beginners and early readers.

Megan's Teaching Philosophy
I believe that music is a tool for self-expression that is meant to be enjoyed. I work hard to make sure my students are developing a love of the process of creating music. Being a musician is a lifelong skill that can bring joy to your life, regardless of occupation. I believe that each of my students are artists, regardless of age or skill level. While my role is often that of teacher, it's my goal to empower students in their learning so we can collaborate as artists. My students bring such great perspectives, thoughts, and ideas to our collaboration process that I wouldn't come up with, and those contributions are invaluable to our progress!
